Total Adventure Beacon is our holiday for anyone aged 8-12 from Monday 10th - Friday 14th August 2020, based at Windmill Farm Conference Centre, OX18 2SN.
It's an opportunity for young people to experience an exciting activity holiday week. The week is crammed full of adventure activities and input for you and your friends - everything for you to experience what it means to live "Life to the Max" (John 10:10) through a Christian perspective. Activities may include canoeing or kayaking on the beautiful River Thames, archery, circus skills, mountain biking, arts & crafts, bushcraft and much more.
A+ is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all those in our care.
Our CV-19 specific precautions will ensure appropriate measures are taken in line with current government guidelines on all activities, in A+ Transport (if applicable) and during group times... whilst retaining the many health benefits of fresh air, physical exercise and shared community in the beauty and open space of the outdoors.
- The activity programme will be reduced, as some activities are not 'distancing-compliant'
- Group sizes will be reduced which may limit total numbers on camp
- The (nearly) World Famous Roadshow will have to take a different format
- Children are asked to bring their own lunches, drinking bottles and mini hand-sanitisers
- Bubbles: Campers will be assigned to a group on Monday which will be their Bubble for the week - with the same group leader. They will do a selection of pre-assigned activities together each day. Please indicate at time of booking any other camper of similar age they would like to be grouped with.
Finances for A+ will be much harder to balance this year. While we have not increased the overall price (and assisted places will be available where needed), there will be an option in the bookings process to make a donation to help A+ cover the additional costs of putting on TA this year.
Scampers are our Senior Campers (ages 16-17) who help our leaders run the programme and get a reduced price for the week! Scampers get to enjoy the full range of activities and are also given some organisational responsibilities - helping us run the holiday and have a brilliant time whilst doing so! Come on Total Adventure Peak and Beacon to get a discounted price.
See below to book on as a Scamper, or click here for more information.
